Bussing

Great Hearts Harveston has partnered with First Student, Inc. to provide bussing service.

For students using the bus, if your student will not be riding the bus on a particular day, please contact the bus dispatch at 225-262-7699 and the school at 225-416-7611.  If we have not been informed prior to 12:00 PM that a student may not be riding the bus, the student will be riding the bus.

As a reminder, if you did not indicate bussing needs on your student’s registration, your students are not qualified to ride the bus. To add your student to the bus roster, please visit the front office to fill out a bus request form.

For students arriving at school using private transportation, the school is using Curbsmart for individual student dismissal. If you need a placard for your car, please contact the front office.

  •  Drop Off: 2 drop off locations, you can drop off your scholar at both sides of the building. lease drop off your scholar by 7:30am if you would like for them to eat breakfast. Breakfast closes at 7:40am.
  • Late Drop Off: carline drop off closes at 7:40am. After 7:40am please walk your scholar into the front office to sign them in as they are considered late and will need a tardy pass.
  • Pick Up: we release scholars to designated pick up locations based on the grade of the youngest sibling.
  • Early Pick Up: must be done through the front office before 2:15pm (12:30pm on early release days).

Please do NOT make any left turns into our parking lot from Bluebonnet. All vehicles must make a right turn into campus due to safety reasons.

Transportation and pick-up changes 

If you plan to check your student out from school, you must do so by 2:15 PM on full schedule days and by 12:30 PM on early release days. You may not check your student out after these times.

Parents/guardians MUST notify the front office daily if their student is not riding the bus in the afternoon no later 12:00 PM on full schedule days and 10:00 AM on early release days. This ensures your student will not be sent to the bus during dismissal.
