First PSO Meeting – August 12 at 7:00 PM
We’re excited to invite all enrolled parents to our first Parent Service Organization (PSO) meeting of the year! Join us on Tuesday, August 12th at 7:00 PM to learn more about how the PSO supports our academy, ways you can get involved, and upcoming volunteer opportunities. Whether you're new to Great Hearts Harveston or a returning family, this is a great opportunity to connect with other parents and play a meaningful role in our school community.

K-5th Grade Families: We are excited to invite you to Lower School Curriculum Night on Thursday, August 21st from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. This special evening will give you an inside look into your scholar’s curriculum and provide valuable insight into their learning journey this year.

Please note: This is a mandatory event for parents and guardians only. Scholars should not attend.

During the evening, you will:

• Meet your scholar’s teachers

• Receive a curriculum overview

• Hear an administrator presentation

We look forward to partnering with you to ensure a strong start to the school year and to share how we are working together to support your child’s academic and character growth.

Constitution Day Address – September 8
Great Hearts Harveston will host a Constitution Day Address on Monday, September 8, from 1:30–3:00 PM in the cafeteria. 

Dr. James R. Stoner, Jr., Professor of Political Science at LSU and Great Hearts Board member, will present Keeping the Promise: The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

Parents are invited to attend and listen to the presentation and enjoy the poetry recitations by 9th-grade students, featuring excerpts from the Constitution, the Gettysburg Address, and Ralph Waldo Emerson’s A Nation’s Strength.
