Frequently Asked Questions

School start and end time

• • • School begins at 7:45 AM and ends at 3:05 PM Monday – Thursday.
    • On Fridays, students dismiss at 1:20 PM, unless notified otherwise due to holidays or events.

Before and after-care programs

• • • Athenaeum is offered Monday-Friday for K-5 students ONLY. Families may pick up their students anytime from dismissal until 6:00 PM.
    • We do not after before-care, however families can drop students off as early as 7:15.

Class sizes

• • • In grades K-12, class sizes are no larger than 25 students.

Student-teacher ratio

• • • In grades K-5, there are two teachers in every classroom.
    • In grades 6-12, there is one.

Sports offerings

• • • We currently offer football, basketball, soccer, track and field, cross-country, and volleyball. We do plan to add baseball and softball in the coming years.
    • Once students reach the 5th grade, they can participate in our athletics program.

Extra-curricular activities

• • • We offer a wide-range of after-school clubs for our scholars, including art club, chess club, tumbles club, book club, and Young Rembrandts.

Enrollment

• • • We are accepting applications until we reach capacity for each grade level. We recommend that you submit your application and complete registration now, so your seat is guaranteed for this school year. As a reminder, you may withdraw your application at any point.
